Stephen Down is qualified to the highest British level, BASI Level 4 International Ski Teacher Diploma (ISTD) and holds full French Equivalence. Stephen is based in Courchevel for the majority of the season.
He is a really positive and motivational ski teacher, and works with clients to improve confidence and provide them with the skills to develop their skiing and achieve their goals. Stephen uses his knowledge and understanding of skier biomechanics, and ski & boot set up to optimise client development.
He has a great knowledge of the Three Valleys, Arlberg and Dolomite ski areas having spent many winters skiing and working there, and is able to find the best pistes, bumps, couloirs and off piste to suit your level.
Stephen is a self confessed skiing addict. When he is not on the slopes you can guarantee that he will be dreaming of when he next will be.
His other vice is ski equipment — just don’t ask him for a recommendation if you only want to buy one pair of skis! |
